A new rule went into effect Sunday that could cost you more when you shop with a credit card. Visa and Mastercard have agreed to let merchants add a service charge to their customers. Merchants are capped at a 4 percent fee. The rule change was made as part of an anti-trust settlement brought by retailers. By the way, the rule does NOT apply to debit card transactions.
Do you use credit cards often? How will this affect you?
