The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning to people using electric toothbrushes, specifically the Arm & Hammer Spinbrush. According to the FDA, the brushes can present a choking hazard, chip teeth, cause cuts to the mouth and gums, and can cause injury to the face and eyes when used. Since complaints have surfaced, the manufacturers have added a safety warning to help lessen the risk. If you notice issues with the toothbrushes or have questions, call 800.352.3384 or 800.561.0752. The Spinbrush comes in both adult and children’s models under the names Spinbrush ProClean; Spinbrush ProClean Recharge; Spinbrush Pro Whitening; Spinbrush SONIC; Spinbrush SONIC Recharge; Spinbrush Swirl; Spinbrush Classic Clean, and Spinbrush for Kids. All have the potential for injury, according to the FDA.
