Florida Georgia Line features Tyler Hubbard from Monroe, Georgia and Brian Kelley from Ormond Beach, Florida.  The duo got together at Nashville's Belmont University, where they played at local clubs and wrote songs, together.

They recently stopped by 96.9 The Kat to play a few songs with their band.  They played their current single Cruise.  They also played Tip it Back, Get Your Shine On, and It'z Just What We Do.

While in Charlotte, the boys happened to catch Cruise on 969.9 The Kat.  They seemed pretty excited about it.

They'll be hitting the road this fall with Jake Owen and Love & Theft.  The tour hits Charlotte on October 26th.

Maggie Rose ain't your mama.  She may look like a sweet, blonde haired beauty, but she has plenty of attitude and it is on full display in her single, I Ain't Your Mama.

Maggie and her band performed five songs for 969 The Kat.  They were the aforementioned I Ain't Your Mama, Fall Madly in Love With You, Preacher's Daughter, Mostly Bad, and Blues.

Influences include powerful female voices like Mary Chapin Carpenter, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, and Trisha Yearwood.  You can hear that country and blues influence in Maggie's voice.  She's covered various bands.  When she was 16, she performed with a Bruce Springsteen cover band called, the B Street Band.  She also gained some attention under the band Margaret Durante with a cover of the Kings of Leon song, Use Somebody.

Katie Armiger stopped by 969 The Kat to perform in the iHeartRadio Charlotte Studio.  She performed three songs:  Better in a Black Dress; This is Worth it; and Not The Man I Thought You Were.  See photos of the performance here.

Katie is only 21, but she has already recorded her fourth studio album.  Better in a Black Dress is the first single from the upcoming record.
