Big & Rich performed an exclusive concert at Amos' Southend on Tuesday, September 11. The date was not lost on the performers or the audience, especially when Big & Rich played 8th of November from 2005's Comin' to Your City album. The song tells the story of a Vietnam veteran who served four tours. John Rich told his story and thanked all of the veterans and active duty military members in attendance.
The guys also played some new stuff from their upcoming album, Hillbilly Jedi. The album will release on September 18. It includes the single, That's Why I Pray.
Of course, Big & Rich wrapped up the show with their signature song, Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy). But first, they played a medley of popular songs ranging from Madonna's Like a Virgin to Tom Petty's Free Fallin'.
