Two of the hottest country stars in the country were in Charlotte Thursday. Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan sold out Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and made sure everybody got their money's worth. With help from DJ Silver and Rachel Farley, Jason and Luke proved why they are quickly becoming two of the biggest stars in country.
Since 2005, Jason Aldean has risen through the country ranks to become one of the best headliners in the genre. He is capable of wowing a crowd with powerful, anthemic songs like Crazy Town, Flyover States, and My Kinda Party. But, Jason Aldean is also quite versatile. He can go from songs like Why and Big Green Tractor to Dirt Road Anthem.
For the next decade, expect to see Jason Aldean rule as one of the premier superstars of country. Every summer, country fans will consider his show "a can't miss event."

But, for all of Aldean's star power, the guy that came before him may have owned the night and the crowd.
Charlotte, the next time you see Luke Bryan, he will be headlining. If he isn't headlining, there has been a mistake. Luke Bryan is a superstar. For the next decade, his concerts will be, "THE can't miss event."
Luke Bryan is the next Kenny Chesney.
I should elaborate. Luke Bryan and Kenny Chesney are completely different artists and people. But, Luke has a charisma and stage presence that may remind you of Chesney. It is entirely possible that Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean could tour NFL stadiums a decade from now, with Luke headlining.
Verizon Wireless Amphitheater was packed at 8 PM when Luke took the stage. Veterans to the venue know that rarely happens prior to the arrival of the headlining artist. Luke incorporated covers of rock songs into his own music. The mix of Metallica's Enter Sandman with All My Friends Say was particularly interesting. But, whether he was trying heavy metal or playing the piano, fans loved Luke Bryan.
